English Language Proficiency

Since English is the medium of instruction at Frantz Fanon University, applicants are required to provide proof of English language proficiency before enrolling at FFU or take intensive language courses the first year to benefit from courses, lectures, and assignments.

One way applicants can prove proficiency in English language is by showing acceptable scores through TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International Language Testing System), Cambridge English: Advanced (CEA), or their equivalents. Alternatively, enrolled students successfully complete the intensive English language courses in the first year to proceed study at Frantz Fanon University.

To ensure that students learn English well, Frantz Fanon recruited teachers who are native speakers of English from the United States and Britain. We discovered that students taking the first year of the intensive English language courses, while using regularly the language laboratory. improve rapidly and significantly their comprehension, reading, writing, and speaking of English language, thereby perform well course in their chosen fields of study.
